Terra Sales Solutions, founded in 2019 by CEO Ben Cosstick, was born from a vision to leverage his two decades of experience in international technology to assist small and mid-sized companies in expanding their reach. Initially focused on sales solutions, Terra has evolved in 2024 to embrace a broader mission: empowering businesses to achieve their international growth ambitions.

A Shift in Identity
At the beginning of 2024, Terra Sales Solutions embarked on a transformative journey by hiring Richard Whiteley as their International Sales Director. Through his market research and discussions with the Terra team, Richard identified that the term ‘sales’ was limiting and didn’t truly reflect the nature of Terra’s work.
Jennifer Herbert, Terra’s Business Operations Manager, explains, “We brought in Richard as a key salesperson and his market research revealed a disconnect between ‘sales’ and the full scope of our work. We needed a name that conveyed our role as a strategic partner, not just a sales force.”
The Terra Difference: Building relationships – not just transactions.
“Our philosophy is simple,” explains Jennifer. “We embed ourselves within our clients’ teams, becoming an extension of their capabilities. We offer deep expertise in technology, markets, and specific regions to empower their international expansion.” This partnership approach is what sets Terra apart. It’s not just about selling; it’s about providing holistic solutions that address the complexities of global growth.
Partnerships that benefit businesses.
Terra’s conversations this year with SIDO (State International Development Organizations, Inc.) exemplifies this approach. SIDO’s mission to support state international trade agencies aligns perfectly with Terra’s specialized knowledge in key markets like South America, the Middle East, and South East Asia.
Terra’s in-region resources and established networks have the potential to be invaluable in supporting SIDO’s overall goals, as well as the individual international trade programs of the 50 state trade agencies. Terra’s active participation in events like SIDO’s recent Best Practices and Training Event in Salt Lake City further solidifies this commitment.
The transition from Terra Sales Solutions to Terra Global Solutions signifies more than just a name change; it represents the company’s evolution into a mature and comprehensive global growth partner. “We’ve grown to support the members of organizations like SIDO as a trusted advisor, and expert resource providing strategic insights and solutions” Jennifer states.
Terra have also joined manufacturing organisation Make UK. This was an ideal partnership for Terra as Make UK aims to stimulate success for manufacturing businesses in the UK by connecting businesses who can benefit each other, and be a platform solve problems and generate opportunities. With an emphasis on innovation and creating new openings in expanding markets, their objectives reflect Terra’s new global partnership focus.
Terra is still very much in the business of giving technology companies the knowledge, skills, and expertise to successfully expand into global markets by embedding ourselves within their teams, but we now have an extra dimension, which makes us a partner able to provide global solutions to global challenges.
